Tracking construction vehicles and equipment

What tracking solves in construction
Concrete mixers
The actual trip count per mixer, arrival time on site, and time spent there. A basis for reconciling what was delivered against what was priced.
Pumps and machinery
Where the machine is now, on which project, and since when. Cuts the time wasted searching and calling between sites.
Running hours
Approximate running hours for maintenance scheduling. An exact reading from the machine's hour meter needs a connection that depends on its type, which we verify per model.
Unauthorised use
Alerts on movement outside working hours or beyond the site boundary. Useful on open sites and with valuable machinery.
Allocating cost to projects
Distributing machine hours and trips across projects from data rather than estimates — which is what the accounts need.

Installation considerations in a site environment
Sites are harsher than roads: dust, high temperatures, vibration and sometimes water washing. So protection rating and mounting position deserve a longer conversation than usual.
